Sitting in Vienna International Airport. Free WIFI. That’s progress.

That’s about it.

Människor …

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Blogging and stuff

Tuesday, March 28th, 2006

Wow it’s been a while. I dunno, I just feel like I have little of value to contribute to the Internets at the moment.

What I can say is that I am going to Japan again in June (I bow to all mighty ticket fixer Alex). So I am looking forward to that big-time. Still 2 months to go.
This time I am going with a friend of mine, Nisemono Nisse is his name.

Also I started to dabble a little in more serious photography. I bought an SLR film camera and some stuff like a tripod and now I can be sometimes seen mucking about in town snapping shots of things. I am thinking of getting a digital SLR before going to Japan.

In related news… Last night I was about to go to bed when I instead thought that it might be nice to take some pictures of the church tower covered by fog. This does not happen often, so it seemed only natural.
This was at 3am, and I had to get up at 6am to go to Uni.
Needless to say, 2 hours of sleep is not something I can recommend to any sane person.

Despite all this, I not only did not miss my subway, I actually caught an earlier one. This is unheard of. Truly.

PS: Soon I will scan in some of the photos I’ve been taking with my SLR.

the Overhaul

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

I am working on a complete site overhaul. Starting with a new front page which will link to my blog and a special photo page that will among other things contain links to flickr etc.

Right now the blog design has been reset to a standard look, and while it is actually a pretty nice design, obviously I would not be a man if I just left it like that.

Feel free to comment on the new front page… Now that it works again.

Flickr

I got flickr now!

It’s a neat quick way to share pics. I might even pay!
(so much for ungeeking, of course, we’ll see how much I actually use it!)

Here’s my url.

I still haven’t decided the URL I should have…
http://flickr.com/people/dimo/
http://flickr.com/people/zeraien/
http://flickr.com/people/angelhill/

I hate it when they say “you cant change it later!”.

Beh.

update: I went with dimo

Where did yesterday go?

Wednesday, June 16th, 2004

Well I didn’t post yesterday. Kinda got caught up with all the programming and sleeping.
That fancy info I talked about, I forgot what it was. So all I can say is that the trip was damn exhausting and I am still recuperating. Getting old.

However in order to stop forgetting things, I bought myself a new toy. Now I plan on using it whenever I get cool ideas. I shall report on whether I succeed or fail. So far I have only one complaint, and that is that you can’t plug in the iPod remote into it. You can plug in headphones, but not the remote itself.

If you are lazy and want to see pictures from the trip, look below and click on the “continue reading” link. If you are not lazy, there is one new bit of cool info. I started to blog all my coding ideas and notes onto a separate blog. If you want some insight into the mind of a programmer (although I still suck), read that one.

I update it quite often and it’s quite fun to read.

You might also notice that the site looks different now. I decided to grab some standard design templates from movabletype website, so as to improve the look until I actually make something different.

Enjoy the pictures.

Blogger Meetup Stockholm: The aftermath

Sunday, June 13th, 2004

IMG_2084
Today I was at an informal gathering of a few bloggers in Stockholm, on the roof café at Kulturhuset. The man behind the initiative was Joi Ito. Joi turned out to be a nice guy, down to earth and filled with interesting ideas (this was no surprise to anyone who has been following his blog, of course). The other people who attended (Maya, Per, Max, Ludovic, Erik, Jon, Kim, David and Roine) were also really cool and we discussed a lot of interesting issues on both large and small scales.

Well, Max is only 6 months old so he mostly kept quiet throughout the entire thing.

Blogging on the Road

Programming in my car
Technology is great. I am sitting in a car on my way to Göteborg with bigmac, to pick up a boat he is importing from the USA. During the trip I decided to do some work on our new super-secret SMS service, and using my trusty T610 and a GRPS connection, I was able to make code modifications and upload them back to the ftp server. Smokin. Technology still never ceases to amaze me. Oh and this blog was also conducted while driving at 150km/h. I think I am getting queesy. Must look at road.

Click on the picture to see a wonderful example of technology at work. Maybe I’ll actually have to pay for GRPS traffic this month.
