Public Transportation, the Great Change

Recently I have obtained a newfound love of using Public Transportation. In fact I look forward to spending 20 minutes in the subway, so I can read a book or just spend some time thinking about something without worrying about anything else. It's great.

I also lost my love of driving. At least my moms car, since its manual shift, and I hate manual shift, so that might be it. I think I would still enjoy driving a smart, but the stress of traffic jams and idiots who come from the village is not missed by me.

During my younger years (20-22.5), I would have told you that you would never see me in a subway, maybe not even if you put a gun to my head. However recently I have started to change, both by almost forcing change upon myself, and simply by letting change take place.
So recently I have found new optimism and patience that I did not have before. I am somewhat more at peace with my world, and while my old self often pokes his head out to try and get me down, I kick his ass down the shithole that he came from (or at least I try). This change somehow manifests itself by me enjoying public transportation.... or something.

Of course, this does not mean I am a completely new person, but it does mean something good is coming.

I hope.
