Productivity Dampening Field

For about a week now, Johnjohn and Marcus Bowie have been staying at my place. Johnjohn left this morning to go to Umeå where he is studying, and Bowie is staying here for a few more days.
When those guys are here, my life is never dull, and also all productivity is immediately destroyed. It’s as if a dampening field is activated to curb any attempt at doing real work. Even now after JJ is gone, the effects of the field are still in place.

As noted earlier, we like to go out to Matrix, and we did it this time. Although this time we mostly played Medal of Honor: Call of Duty, fun game. We also boozed a bit. Normally I don’t drink, but when these guys get here, it just kinda happens.

They invented a little game, we would sit and play games on my XBOX or JJ’s PS2, and the winner would have to drink a shot. Johnjohn won a lot at Tekken 4, so he got really wasted, at which point we switched game to Soul Calibur 2 and I got to win a bit too, and so did Marcus. Then we went to a club and had a nice time. As for the day after, I will refrain from talking about it. Just thinking about it gives me the heebiejeebees… however you spell that.

On Saturday we used my recently procured Yakiniku grill, and had a very nice evening, eating yakiniku and watching Star Trek: First Contact projected onto almost the entire size of one of my walls. Nice.

So now that Johnjohn left, it feels kinda empty (except for Bowie sleeping in the other room).

Amidst all this chaos, I have finally received all the books I ordered from Amazon (more on that later), and I also started doing Kendo.
I have thus far been to 2 out of 2 lectures at KTH, and so far things seem to be progressing well. I made a bet with bigmac, if I succeed in completing this first term up until xmas (with acceptable study results), he’ll give me 10 000kr, otherwise I’ll have to rummage in my pocket and give him 10 000kr. Thus I have quite an incentive to finish what I started. I believe that even without the bet, I would have done it, but 10 000kr never hurts.

Well, I am off to school. Below I post some pics of the last few days.
