My recent interest in reading is hardly new, I have been reading scifi and fantasy books for many years, but now I also want to delve more into the classics, and also books that are perhaps, anchored more in the sea of reality. Not too much reality tho, just some. Also books of knowledge are of great interest.
Currently I am reading Calculating God, a really excellent book which makes me laugh out loud while I read it on the subway. While the title suggest religion, so far I have not found anything that would suggest this book is actually religious. The quick synopsis is that Aliens come to earth and try to prove, with the help of some human scientists that god really does exist, and is far from the nice bearded old man we have come to know. (that description could also be applied to Lenin! hehe)
The book was suggested to me a few years ago by a friend of mine, Marcus Wong, who lives in Hong Kong. I found it in my wish list recently when making my large japanese and programming books purchase, so I thought I’d go for it.
Now that my books from Amazon have arrived, I have a horde of Japanese grammar books and books on programming theory. I can’t wait to start absorbing this knowledge into my head as soon as time permits.
I guess I am addicted to Knowledge. However this seems to be a new discovery. I might need to elaborate on it at a later date, right now my eggs are getting cold, and I have class soon. So I gotta go.
