About 2 weeks ago I got rid of my car. It was a Smart, and I liked it a lot, but it was costly and I figured I wont need it for the summer.
Ever since I got my driving license (4 years ago), I have always had access to a car, so this is a first.
But…
Summer time Stockholm is great. You can walk almost anywhere within a short time, or you can bike. The weather is nice for the most part, so I figured why not walk or bike. Besides I don’t have any good income right now, so this is great for my economy heh.
So far my experiences have been mostly positive, I even went on the train for two hours last night. The train gig wasnt bad at all, since I have my iPod and my GBA. Being carless gives you plenty of time to do stuff that you normally would not do because you are sitting in a traffic jam. Like play games on a GBA.
I feel kinda free this way. Check back in a few weeks and maybe it will sound differently.
